Last night I saw this movie that took my breath away. Kind of.
Say Anything (1989) with John Cusack and Ione Skye.
John Cusack was actually visually appealing in those days, and Ione Skye was (and still is) SO beautiful.

Anyway, about the movie.
Plot = nerd/rockin' guy falls for the valedictorian, they go out, fall in love, etc. Valedictorian's busy schedule and her attachment to her dad make her break up with nerd. But she realizes she needs to go after what she wants instead of living up to expectations, and they get back together, woot.

Yeah. It was a reaaalllyyy goooodd mooovvviiieeee! WATCH IT WATCH IT WATCH IT!

Most memorable scene: John Cusack stands outside the girl's window holding a boombox playing "their" song. CLASSIC.

One bad thing about it: it focuses a WHOLE LOT on the girl's dad's dilemma (he's being investigated by the IRS). It really should focus more on the girl's relationship with the boy. But, whatever floats the director's boat, you know.

ANYWAY,
I'm in a terrific mood right now despite a terribly caustic headache and the fact that I smell like my grandma's house. This is a rare moment. I must take it all in.

Hah. Jaykay. About the rare moment thing anyway.
