I was watching "Fatal Beauty: The 15 Most Notorious Women" today, which was about these 15 criminal women. It really is funny how women are seen as less threatening than men, and then they go around throwing their babies in trash cans at proms and using rich old guys for their life insurance and still get away with it. But um, yeah. I think the concept of the "femme fatale" is really quite intriguing. And probably, some of those women on the show thought so too. But they took it way too far and tried to play the role themselves. Ain't got no head on their shoulders.
Random! Well. Anyway.
I really want/need to start my "official" fashion blog, but it's like...what kind of fashion am I going to take pictures of here in the 'Burbs? All I'm going to find is North Face, Aeropostale, Sperrys, and Limited Too (jokinggg!). So it's going to have to wait a few months 'til I'm in the city. I'm trying to come up for a name for my future blog...that's always the hardest part! I've been looking at this one fashion blog that's gotten a pretty good following: Chicheroin. Take a look. I also found, via her blog, this Etsy shop that has really cute headbands/wraps: Babooshka. Look it up. I'm thinking of getting one of their headwraps.
And, just for kicks, 'trends' I'm getting sick of here in the burbs:
- Vera Bradley
- polka dots
- SPERRYS
- boots with the furrr
Things I wish I'd see more of:
- jean jumpsuits
- structured/geometric clothing
- basically, I just wish most people didn't dress like each other. Technically, my school doesn't have a uniform. But when you look around, it's pretty much like there IS one. I mean, even the BOYS have more of a 'fashion' identity than most of the girls. Sure, most boys don't give a crap what they throw on in the morning, but at least they throw on things that don't match once in a while.
