dear ___;
wondering why i've been giving you the cold shoulder?
wondering why i've been giving you the cold shoulder?
because it was done, weeks ago
so stop
it's this thing called my right to be happy/not annoyed; you should respect it.
p.s. if that "you were the flower" thing was meant at me, i'm just telling you now, don't call me a bitch ever again.
k, thanks.
MOVING ON;
I watched the Oscars last night.
Loved the dresses, loved them. Anna Kendrick was wearing, seriously, my dream gown.
What's kind of funny is, I was watching this thing on E! where they were reviewing all the celebrities and their dresses, and they said Miley Cyrus looked like a 45-year-old who just stepped out of the 80's. It was kind of a sweet moment of vindication, even though I did like her dress.
Also, slightly disappointed that The Hurt Locker won Best Picture.
I think maybe Inglourious Basterds could have won?
They're both war-ish movies, but at least IB has a more unique take on things.
Eh, maybe they weren't going for uniqueness.
I can see why some of the other ones didn't win. Precious was a bit too commercial. Too many stars in it. Usually the winner for Best Picture is a little more obscure. Blind Side, the plot was a bit too commercial as well. Avatar - eh...it was a pretty movie, but the plot and the characters were so predictable. Sorry, James Cameron. Oh, and it must have been a slap in the face when Kathryn Bigelow (his ex-wife and the director of Hurt Locker)'s movie got so many awards. Ouch. An Education is a good contender for Best Picture, but it kind of lacked depth. To be honest, I haven't even seen Hurt Locker, so I can't quite be judging. Maybe it really is a good movie? I don't know.
I dunno, watching the Oscars reignited that love of cinema that once was so strong. I'm kind of re-inspired to go into film/video in college.
