my stance on abortion.

ok, sorry about that last entry. i was really disappointed in that person when i wrote it. well, i mean, i've been disappointed at him for a while, but it was the last straw today. i'm done.

for drawing&painting II, we're supposed to be planning a final mixed media piece. the concept behind it is: why _____? [you fill in the blank] it's pretty open-ended.i've decided that mine is going to be about....*drumroll, please*.... abortion.

Abortion is one of the only issues I don't see eye-to-eye on with Obama.

I'm pro-life. I don't believe a baby should be annihilated because of the mother's choice.
Have you heard about how a baby is aborted? it's disturbing to think that someone could inflict that kind of pain on another being, especially one of their own flesh and blood. In most abortions, the baby is sucked out of the womb through asperation - like using a vacuum cleaner in the womb. In D&E abortions, the baby is "scooped" out of the womb with a curette, basically cutting them up into goop. What the hell. Then there are partial birth abortions. The abortion doctor stabs the baby's skull with scissors (the baby is alive during this) and sucks the brains out, causing the skull to collapse. The dead baby is then pulled out of the womb.

The baby usually feels pain around 20 weeks: a time when many abortions take place.

I think there are alternatives to abortion that exist and are easily accessible: adoption, for example. There are hundreds, thousands, hell - millions! of couples and families out there unable to have children yearning to adopt a kid and love it. If the pregnant woman wants to abandon her child due to "inconvienience", fine. There's no need to abort it, though, when adoption is right there as an option. "Giving birth is too painful" - Chyeah. There are pains much worse in this world than giving birth. Like, say, your brains being sucked out, and your skull collapsing. "What if I want it back after a few years?" Why would you abort it, then? You'd never get it back that way.

Having a child may not be "convenient" for some people, but it DEFINITELY is not the end of the world.

It is sad, though.
3,000 abortions a day in the United States alone.
Imagine in the countries with the higher teenage pregnancy rates.
Imagine how much that adds up per day internationally. Furthermore, imagine how many unborn babies are aborted a YEAR.

I'm not intending to shove my opinion down anyone else's throat. I'm simply stating it. Nor am I wishing to start a big debate with anyone. In fact, I'd rather not debate at all. Thanks.
