So, I just posted about this on facebook (ah, facebook!) but I want to elaborate more, so here goes!

Today I restructured my plan for the future.

I still want to get my degree in journalism, yes, but I am now thinking of adding French as a minor.
So then, I will move to southern France, or maybe western Switzerland (they're always neutral, and they speak French) and be a correspondent for Vogue or something. I dunno.

I don't want to live in the US longer than I have to. Things are pretty messed up over here, after I've given it a lot of thought. People are rushed and into their image, their possessions (Who's got the most recent Blackberry? Who's got the hottest car?) and such things. I want to be in a more relaxed place where people slow down and appreciate everything, and Europe matches that description in most cases.

Plus, they get free health care, paid (and longer) vacations, and shorter work hours in general. Sure, their taxes are higher, but they would otherwise be spending that tax money paying for healthcare anyway, so.....

Yup, that's just my opinion. Seems like a nice life to live!
